 Dr. Gaylord Hanes of Waxahachie has been selected president of the Home
Builders Association of Greater Dallas. On February 26, 2004, Dr. Hanes received a proclamation from the Texas
State Legislature Representative Jim Pitts, recognizing Hanes' contribution to recent legislation regulating home
construction in the state.
Dr. Hanes started Homes by Hanes in the early 1990's. Since that time, he has built over
400 custom homes and several medical clinics in the Metroplex. Dr. Hanes is active in numerous trade organizations,
including the Ellis County Home Builders Association and the Dallas Texas Association of Builders and in the past
has served on the national board; In recognition of his fine work and exemplary contributions to the home building
industry, Dr. Hanes was named "Texas Businessman of the Year" by the Republican majority leadership.
Dr. Hanes has chosen "excellence" as the home builders association theme for 2004, a
quality that has characterized all of the professional and personal endeavors in his life, and he will undoubtedly
mark his tenure as president in the same exemplary fashion. Dr. Gaylord Hanes is to be congradulated on being
named president of the Home Builders Association of Greater Dallas and that he be extended best wishes for
